Hello parents and carers,
As the end of the year fast approaches, teachers are just about finished with the writing of the individual student reports for semester two. These reports are a huge amount of work for teachers, as they look to accurately assign grades for each of the curriculum areas learned about over the course of the semester, as well as – more importantly – provide parents and students with feedback about how they are going with their learning via written comments. Reports should be ready to send home with students early next week.
Tonight is an important occasion for our school community, with our fabulous group of year six students having their Graduation ceremony. Congratulations to Lara, Jerico, Lenon, Shenoah, Vansh, Damien, Jamie, Kyle, Lachlan, Tommy, Shante, Teresa, Amelia, Sebastian, Dominic, Petrina and Ivory – you have all been lots of fun to have at Millner Primary School and you will all be missed!
Just as important an occasion is happening tomorrow, down at our Preschool, with our Preschool graduation happening for our students that have been attending Preschool since the first half of the year. If you’re able to make it down there, stay tuned for an exciting reveal – our teachers of our 2017 Transition / Year One classes!
Lastly, a reminder about next Tuesday morning’s Awards Ceremony, starting at 8:30am – come along to help us acknowledge the many terrific achievements of Millner students in 2016!
