Early Years Curriculum and Learning (Transition, Year 1, Year 2)
The Early Years are a crucial set of schooling years. Millner School is heavily invested in ensuring our Early Years classes have access to the teaching of strong decoding and reading skills. Any gaps are identified and targeted using individual assessment data, parent consultation and intervention. We believe that equipping our students with early reading skills is an invaluable skill that can’t be overlooked.
Primary Years Curriculum and Learning (Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6)
The Primary Years curriculum teaching follows a rigorous and intentional focus on literacy and numeracy through a structured learning program. Students in the Primary years are expected to be invested and committed learners with set goals and clear strategies on how to achieve this.
